My chrome sockets (5mm 1/4 inch all the way through 22mm 1/2 inch) are entirely craftsman, and the only issue that I have with them, is that I keep loosing them. I buy the cheap stuff first, when it breaks, I replace it with the more expensive stuff. I am a full time professional mechanic at a dealership.here is my phillosphy. The MAC is the thickest and has sharp edges even on the handle which is uncomfortable at times. You can see the MATCO is a lot smoother than the other two. Ever since then I've been accumulating MATCO stuff and selling my used SNAP-ON and MAC goods.Īnyways I decided to post some pics showing wrenches from the leading 3 brands(in quality) to show a comparison. I have a small orange handle 1/4' MATCO ratchet that's fine tooth and its the best damn tool i've ever used. I personally like MATCO's build quality in the tools. Was sorting out the tools and was wondering what brand do you guys trust more. Car is in the garage for new parts install plus repairing the bumper my Doberman annihilated trying to catch an imaginary cat.
